Hosting

Having your website hosted with ISSL couldn’t be easier.

We can host both ASP and PHP websites. On our PHP server we can set up MySQL databases and even give you access to your own control panel to manage your account.

All hosting comes with up to 15 virus-protected email accounts, which you can access either via Outlook, or through a webmail system, similar to Hotmail.

Website Advice

ISSL offers advice sessions for anyone who has a website that has been designed and built by another designer and would like independent advice on the overall effectiveness of the site. We do not believe in re-inventing the wheel. If a website looks good—but needs a few tweaks to improve the benefit to the business or to the end user—then we suggest looking at that first, before spending money on a new one.

Our advice session enables the business owner to learn (in laymans’ terms) about:

• The way in which the site is built
• The standards to which it is built
• Whether it complies with the Equality Act (for example, can a visually impaired person use the site?)
• Whether it complies with the EU Directive on cookies
• Whether the basic building blocks of search engine optimisation have been included and, if necessary, how they can be improved.

Each session is personal to your business and is held at the ISSL offices in St Mary’s Chambers. The aim is to use our knowledge to help you simply understand any potential room for improvement and the importance of your website as a marketing tool. This information can then be relayed to the relevant designer or taken on board and used by yourself.

Diagnostic Report

If you already have a website and want to find out how well it rates, why not submit it for a diagnostic report.

We’ll check its ease of use, build-quality, SEO optimisation, and whether it complies with the Disability Discrimination Act (now rolled into the Equality Act), which came into force in 1999.

Social Media

Most people know that social media and internet marketing is the way forward, but in reality we all know that there are just not enough hours in the day to do everything. All businesses are busy doing what they do best, from manufacturing, producing and installing to administering, training and customer facing; so why not let ISSL help by managing the social media element of your internet marketing for you.

We work closely with Dennis Taylor from Taylormade Social Media who can advise you on what is best for your business at this moment in time. It may be that you have a new product or service to launch and focussing on that would provide the best results, or you may want to aim more broadly with better brand awareness. What ever you are focussing on, social media - internet marketing can help you market it in a very cost effective way.

Maintenance

All of our websites are built in Content Management Systems, which allow you to easily update your site’s content whenever you like from any web browser.

If you find you want to make regular updates to your website, but either don’t have the time or aren’t comfortable enough using a Content Management System, we offer Maintenance Contracts.

For a flat fee we’ll make ourselves available for a number of hours a month to update your content and news as you request.

Maintenance is also available Pay-As-You-Go for £40 Plus VAT per hour.
